Assisted Transportation Services
The HOPES Assisted Transportation Department provides services to Hoboken residents age 60 and over to scheduled appointments free of charge. Our vehicles accommodate clients with special needs that may require wheelchair accessible transportation.
Scheduled trips to local and surrounding cities for specialized appointments can be accommodated. Unscheduled transportation provided when available.
Our staff follows up with transportation customers to verify requirements have been met and to schedule future transportation appointments.
How to Arrange for Assisted Transportation
- Call for an appointment at least one week in advance or as soon an appointment has been made. Telephone number: (201) 656-3711
- When making a transportation appointment inform HOPES Inc. staff if the transportation service will be a one-way or a two-way trip as well as if a wheelchair accessible vehicle is required.
- On the day of the appointment, please be outside at the scheduled pick-up time.
- All clients requesting a return trip home must call the HOPES Inc. office at the end of the appointment.
- To change an appointment time, cancel an appointment, and/or cancel a scheduled return trip from a medical appointment, please call the HOPES Inc. office. If a staff member is not available to receive the call, please leave a message.
