NJ CEED / Free Health Screening

The New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJ CEED) Program provides comprehensive outreach, education and screening services for breast, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancers.

The services provided by NJ CEED include:

Education
Outreach
Screening*
Case Management
Tracking
Follow-up
Facilitation into Treatment


Persons eligible for these services must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level and be uninsured or under-insured

*The NJ CEED Program follows the American Cancer Society's cancer screening guidelines.

Program services are provided through 25 contracted Lead Agencies; each county in NJ has at least one Lead Agency.

HOPES is one of the county's community-based organizations actively participating in educating the community about free cancer screening available through the New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection Program (NJ CEED). HOPES actively conducts outreach to refer residents to Hoboken Family Planning, Hudson County's Lead Agency.
