As of September 1, 2007, the New Jersey Department of Human Services discontinued full-funding of the Universal Wrap-Around Services (before and after school). They have however, arranged for the Urban League of Hudson County to administer childcare vouchers for all income-eligible families.

The Income eligibility requirements for the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services childcare voucher program are listed in the table below. Families whose verifiable income falls at or below these guidelines will receive a full voucher for Before School and After-School Care. Families whose verifiable income falls above the set guidelines (250% of Federal Poverty Index) will be considered Non-Eligible and will be required to pay for Before School and After School services provided to their children. If a family chooses not to disclose their income they will be considered Non-Eligible and will be responsible for paying a fee for Before School and After School services provided to their child.

The fees for non-eligible families from September 2008 through June 2009 can be found on the following page. There will also be a $100 registration fee for Wrap-Around Services, payable at the time the fee agreement is signed.

All fees will be collected by the Universal Preschool Providers by check or money order only, and must be paid in advance (with a grace period until the 5th of each month). Families interested in Wrap-Around Services will need to sign a Fee Agreement Form with the HOPES CAP, Inc. There will be no part-time/part-week fee reductions.

Wrap around services will only be provided for families who return the application (for Eligible Families) or Fee Agreement and payment (for Non-Eligible Families).

Information about the registration and fees for the Summer Wrap-Around Services will be provided in early Spring.

FEE SCHEDULE FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL BREAK WEEKS/“WRAP WEEKS”:

NOTE1: HOPES CAP, Inc. HS/ECP will remain open for Wrap Around services during the Public School Fall and Spring Breaks (with the exception of the Calabro site which will be closed) for the dates and fees indicated in the chart above. Monthly Wrap-Around Fees INCLUDE the Break Weeks. The Fess listed for Break Weeks pertain only to families who DO NOT use wrap around services for the remainder of the month.  

NOTE2: Families with two children receive a 25% discount for the second child. Families with three or more children receive a 25% discount for the second child and there will be no fee for additional children. Discounts will be applied to both the regular monthly fee and the break weeks. Registration fees will NOT be discounted; registration fee is $100 per child. Registration fees are non-refundable.

NOTE3: Due to the schedule of the Calabro Primary School, there will be no after-school care services at the Calabro Early Childhood site. Before-school services WILL be offered. All children in the Calabro program must be picked up no later than 2:30 p.m. In addition, there will be no wrap around services available at the Calabro Site during the break weeks. Families will have an opportunity to enroll their child at the Brandt Site during the break weeks.
