HOPES Head Start is a Federal and State funded Early Childhood Development program that offers comprehensive services to eligible low-income families free of charge.

Services are provided in the areas of education, health, dental, nutrition, mental health, social services and disabilities for children ages three to five. HOPES Head Start began in Hoboken in 1966.

HOPES Head Start believes that an early childhood educational experience that is age appropriate, supportive and stimulating is an essential component of an child's future success.

Parent involvement is the key to Head Start's success. Parents are encouraged to be their child's most powerful advocate, both in school and outside of school.
